Midwest Regional Gala of the Ancient Egyptian Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine & The Prince Hall Community Service Network Donates Big to Kids Free Trip to Africa Program
Muskegon, MI – At its annual gala on June 2nd in Michigan, The Midwest Regional Gala of the Ancient Egyptian Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine & The Prince Hall Community Service Network made a generous donation of $5790 to the Kids Free Trip To Africa Program. The donations came from individual members, including a member who donated $500.
The organization has also pledged to help send kids annually to Ghana and to support the founder’s effort to build a health clinic in the Abeadze Kyeakor Village in Ghana. This village has a population of approximately 6,000 people whose average income is $600 annually.
“We want to thank The Midwest Regional Gala of the Ancient Egyptian Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine & The Prince Hall Community Service Network for our biggest donation ever,” said Paul Allen Billings, founder of the Kids Free Trip to Africa Program. “We knew they were making a donation, but this donation exceeded our expectations, and we are very grateful.”
The Kids Free Trip to Africa program will take 3 kids from Muskegon Heights, Michigan, and 2 kids from Apopka, Florida on an all-expenses-paid trip to Ghana, West Africa on June 6, 2023. They will spend a week in Ghana visiting historical places such as the Cape Coast Slave Castle, WEB Dubois Museum, Marcus Garvey Center, and Independence Square.
